How we get paid

The arrangement, in full

When you complete the care request form, your request is passed to our care-matching partner, which shares it with home care providers covering your postcode. The partner pays us a fee for the request. That fee is the same whichever provider you choose, whether you choose one at all, and however much care you arrange.

What that does and does not influence

• It does not affect what you pay. You pay us nothing, and the fee is not added to any provider’s price.
• It does not decide who contacts you. That depends on which providers cover the postcode and have capacity. We do not rank or promote individual providers, and no provider pays us for a place on this site.
• It pays for the guides. Researching care options and keeping them current costs money; request fees are how it is paid for.
• It gives us an interest in you sending a request. That is why the guides are written to be useful whether or not you do, and why we point you to the free council needs assessment before any provider.

We do not run display advertising, sponsored posts or affiliate links on this site. If that ever changes, this page changes first and any paid placement will be labelled where it appears.
